The Virtual Prototyping research group aims at promoting growing scientific interest in Virtual Reality technologies developed?to support product design, simulation, testing and evaluation. Methodologies, tools and enabling technologies are developed, evaluated and applied in various industrial domains, including those pertaining to?the automotive, aeronautics, household appliances and industrial design sectors.

The group has pioneered the use and development of haptic interfaces and is one of the most active European groups working in this area.
